I grew up in Savannah, graduated from Savannah Country Day high school and went on to Auburn University to earn a finance degree. I promptly returned to Savannah to launch Southern Metals Recycling, Inc. SMR as we are known in coastal Georgia has grown to five scrapyards and one self-service auto parts yard. In August 0f 2023 we acquired our Pembroke location where we continue our vertical integration strategy with the resurrection of our Harris 6090 automobile shredder. The scrap recycling industry is constantly changing but our dedication to service and integrity has forged long lasting relationships with suppliers locally and consumers around the world.
